Pensacola, Florida (PNJ) -- An Escambia County pastor and Christian school administrator was
charged with child abuse Monday after a student accused him of hitting
her leg and paddling twice for misbehaving, according to a news release
by the Escambia County Sheriff's Office.
Pastor
Willie Demps, 69, is the CEO of
S.L. Jones Christian Academy, located at 100 Boeing Street.
A
student told her grandparent he had paddled her for misconduct on Dec. 3

Demps had punched her thigh several times after an altercation on the
bus with another student, the release said. Deputies arrested Demps
after an interview at the school.
Demps faces charges of three counts of child abuse and was taken to the Escambia County Jail. He was released on a $3,000 bond.
