We have tied and set records high temperatures over that past two days and today is shaping up very similar. The record high today is 85 set back in 1989 and we will be very close to that this afternoon. We will be close to 86 which is the warmest that we have recorded temperatures at Tampa International.
The heat will gradually subside through the weekend but will remain near 80 through the weekend and into the middle of next week. That cool down arrives late Wednesday and will bring highs back to the 60s.
Today: Partly cloudy and very warm. Highs will reach the mid 80s, low 80s along the coast. Winds will blow ESE 10-15 mph.
Tonight: Partly cloudy and mild with lows in the mid 60s. Winds will be from the ESE 5 mph.
Friday: Partly cloudy skies and slightly cooler, but highs will still be in the low 80s and winds will blow SE 10 mph.
