Pensacola, Florida (PNJ) -- A woman wanted for questioning in the homicide of Harvey Ray Smith,
found dead in his car trunk Saturday, has turned herself in, authorities
Lauren Dianne Rockwell, 25, who was
being sought as a person of interest, turned herself in Monday afternoon,
according to the Escambia County Sheriff's Office. She is currently
being questioned by investigators in the case.

But family members spotted his vehicle at the motel and made the
gruesome discovery around 7:30 a.m. Saturday, according to the Sheriff's
Debra Leann Burge, 22, of the 3900 block of
Highway 97, has been charged in his death, and Zachary Vance Greer, 22,
of the 3200 block of McMillan Creek Drive is wanted on murder and
Greer remains at large and is believed to be traveling in a 2005 Ford Focus in Santa Rosa County, the Sheriff's Office said.
to an arrest report, Burge admitted to conspiring with Greer to rob
Smith on Friday. Before carrying out the robbery, Burge called and
texted Smith in order to lure him to her residence where Greer planned
to rob him, she told investigators. Burge and Smith knew each other
through mutual acquaintances, according Assistant State Attorney John
Burge told investigators that Smith arrived at
residence and gave her and Greer a ride to the store. Upon their return
to Burge's residence, Burge said she went inside and the two men stayed
outside. When she came back outside, she found Smith laying on the
ground bleeding, according to the report. Greer had informed her that he
had killed Smith. He washed the blood off the Mercedes and placed
Smith's body in the trunk, the report states.
Burge gathered up her two children and some of Smith's items including a
cell phone, laptop computer, and iPod Nano, she told investigators.
took off in Smith's vehicle, at which point, Burge threw Smith's cell
phone, laptop and other items out the window, the report states. They
left the Mercedes in the Motel 6 parking lot, where they spent the night
and left the next morning.
During the investigation,
officers determined that Smith's wallet, cell phone, laptop, iPod Nano
and an undetermined amount of cash believed to be about $700 were
missing from his vehicle, the report states.
Burge is charged with murder while engaged in a felony offense and robbery with a deadly weapon.
Her two children are currently in the care of other family members, according to Molchan.
Deputies are still seeking Greer on an open count of murder and robbery.
