(FloridaToday.com) - The same day three Brevard County police agencies hosted gun buybacks, George Zimmerman reportedly took a tour of Cocoa arms manufacturer Kel-Tec, according to entertainment news site TMZ.com.
The TMZ website shows a photo of Zimmerman standing with a man wearing a Kel-Tec shirt, and says Zimmerman took a tour of the grounds.
TMZ reported that Zimmerman was asking questions about the KSG shotgun. The compact 12-gauge shotgun features dual tube magazines, allowing it to carry up to 13 shells, according to Kel-Tec's website.
A representative for Kel-Tec could not be reached for comment after business hours.
Zimmerman rose to national prominence after killing Trayvon Martin last year. He claimed self defense.
Zimmerman was acquitted of second-degree murder and manslaughter charges in June.
