Tallahassee, Florida -- A group of Seminole County teachers are $1 million richer following Wednesday's Powerball drawing.
Vicky Blinn, 44, of Sanford claimed the winnings. She is part of a lottery pool made up of teachers who have been buying Powerball tickets every Wednesday and Saturday for five years.
When members of the lottery pool were asked how they planned to spend their winnings, the responses ranged from paying bills, taking family vacations and purchasing a new car, to applying it towards their children's college expenses and putting it away in savings.
The winning ticket was purchased from Publix, located at 4195 W. Lake Mary Boulevard in Lake Mary. The retailer received a $1,000 bonus commission for selling winning ticket.
