VERSAILLES, KY (WAVE/CNN) -- To buy a home fit for kings and queen, you may have to raid the royal treasury. A castle in Versailles, Kentucky, is now on the market for eight figures.
You probably have driven by it: a castle in the middle of horse country. Now, your royal childhood dreams could come true. Fit for royalty, the post castle is now for sale. Realtor Charles Martin said, "$30 million is the price tag, and he's firm on the price."
So, what does $30 million get you? It gets you 12,000 square feet of pure opulence and everything in it from the china to the artwork.
The castle bought in 2003 by Tom Post, a Miami attorney. A few months later there was a fire. Then, the re-construction began to include 16 bedrooms, a music room, library, and man cave.
Stars like William Shatner and Faith Hill have stayed overnight. Martin said, "Saudi princess rent the place for two weeks. We had Rolex here for the world equestrian games."
On the third floor, Martin describes what you have as, "This is the roof garden, and we have big events here, and we have a bar in the one corner there." As well as a view of the private tennis court and turrets on every corner.
Martin says the market for high ticket real estate is hot with interest pouring in from Chinese and Russian millionaires. He said, "Every day is a fishing day, but not every day is a catching day. That's why I have it listed to catch the big fish."
