Four more patients accuse Lakeland therapist of misconduct

Four more victims have stepped forward to accuse a Lakeland psychotherapist of sexual misconduct.

Anthony Conti, 71, was arrested Sept. 27 after two patients accused him of inappropriate touching during sessions. He is a licensed mental health counselor. 

Since then, the Lakeland Police Department's Special Victims Unit interviewed four more victims and as a result, Conti has been charged with three counts of attempted psychotherapist engaging in sex with client and two counts of psychotherapist engaging in sex with client..

Police say there could be more potential victims. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to come forward and speak with a detective by calling (863) 834-8977. All victim’s identities will remain confidential as protected by Florida State Law.
