Gator plucked from Citrus County pool

INVERNESS, Fla. -- A scaly intruder was taken into custody this week after getting into a Citrus County pool.

Deputy Dale Johnson was called out to the Meadowcrest community pool Thursday for what he called a mean gator.  The 3-foot gator proved elusive for several minutes before Deputy Johnson was able to snag him.

Once in custody, the gator was turned over to the Florida Wildlife Commission.
