Gov. Scott directs FHP to send officers to Seminole Heights

The reward leading to the arrest of the Seminole Heights killer has been increased to $100,000.

TAMPA -- Help is on the way to Seminole Heights following four shooting deaths in just over a month.

Governor Scott on Thursday ordered the Florida Highway Patrol to send in officers to help Tampa police.    That’s in addition to an FDLE presence in Seminole Heights.

“Safety is our top priority, and we are glad to provide additional state resources from the Florida Highway Patrol and FDLE to the Tampa Police Department to assist in their efforts,” said Scott.   “We will stop at nothing to keep our communities safe.”

Earlier on Thursday, reward money that leads to the arrest of the suspect in the killings was increased to $100,000.
