Health advisory issued for several Bay Area beaches

The Florida Department of Health has issued health advisories for several beaches in the Tampa area because of high bacteria levels.

Ben T. Davis and Davis Islands Beach were found with high levels of enterococci bacteria on Monday.

The FDH says the warning should be considered a risk to swimmers.

The water will be re-sampled on Monday, September 12.

Advisories remain in effect for Robert J. Strickland Beach and Anclote River Park Beach based on the marine water bacterial indicator that has been recommended by the EPA.
