Oldsmar, Florida -- On Saturday, a young man will be remembered during a free skin cancer screening. It's an event put on by his family.
Philip Bryant died in 2006 from complications of melanoma. He was athletic, a football player and healthy until the age of 22 when he was diagnosed.
His family tells us he had a mole that no one really noticed was becoming irregular and growing. When he finally got it checked out, it was too late.
His family set up a foundation in the Philip's name.
On Saturday, the foundation and volunteers will hold free skin cancer screenings all day Saturday.
"Phil Fest 2012" will take place at R.E. Olds Park. That's on Shore Drive West in Oldsmar.
It's from 11 in the morning to nine at night.
There will also be live music, a water ski show and other activities throughout the day.
