MOSI selects new food vendor after closing cafeteria

Tampa, Florida -- After voluntarily closing its doors after 10 News reported a series of high priority health code violations, MOSi has selected Tampa-based Ovations Food Services to manage food and beverage areas.

The Museum of Science & Industry has selected Ovations Food Services, a nationally recognized food and beverage service provider, to manage the Museum's day-to-day food and beverage operations.

In partnering with Ovations Food Services – which operates at more than 140 public assembly facilities across North America – MOSI will be able to offer its guests the highest quality food and beverage, and benefit from the company's expertise in food and beverage operations, marketing and the booking of high-caliber events.

Ovations will begin a complete remodel of MOSI's food and beverage operations, which will be newly named the Everything's Fresh Market, scheduled to open in mid-August.

An abundance of customer-friendly, healthy options will be available in the Everything's Fresh™ Market when it opens in August, including fresh salads, panini wraps and a frozen "Yogurt Cave" with six different yogurt flavors and an extensive toppings bar.

MOSI cafeteria closed its doors after the 10 News investigation found live roaches in the cappuccino machine, rodent droppings throughout the banquet kitchen and temperature violations on the deli meat.
