2 more potential victims emerge in Lakeland teacher case

Lakeland, Florida -- Lakeland police say they are speaking with two more potential victims of teacher Jennifer Fichter.

The 29-year-old has already been charged with having sex with two teenage students, and now 10 News has learned that Lakeland investigators are interviewing two more potential victims.

Last week police say Fichter confessed to having sex on multiple occasions with a former student who was 17 at the time. Hillsborough County added more charges to that saying that the two had also had sex in their jurisdiction.

Then, yesterday, The Polk County Sheriffs Office special victims unit filed an additional 20 counts against Fichter for allegedly having unlawful sex with another student of hers back in 2011. That student was also 17 at the time.

Now the Lakeland Police Department is interviewing two more potential victims although no charges have been filed in either of these cases yet.

Sadly, as this whole thing seems to be unraveling, as police continue to find more potential victims. Fichtner's inappropriate behavior dates back to the time that Fichter was a teacher in Orlando and began improper communication with a minor student.
