$25K reward offered in doctor's murder

Tarpon Springs Police Department detectives are continuing their investigation into the homicide of Doctor Steven Patlin Schwartz that occurred on May 28, 2014. Detectives are currently evaluating leads and tips that have been forwarded to the agency and are diligently reviewing available evidence.

According to police, the evidence reveals that the homicide was not a random act of violence; thus, there should not be a fear for the safety of other residents in the area.

During the efforts of the detectives in working with the family, they were advised that family members wished to offer a reward, in addition to the reward issued by Crime Stoppers.

Family members have established a trust in the amount of $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and final conviction of the suspect(s).
