Tampa, Florida -- An early morning fire at the Animal Coalition of Tampa Bay resulted in the death of three cats.
Tampa Fire Rescue crews responded to the fire at Animal Coalition of Tampa Bay on 502 N Gilchrist Ave. just before 5 a.m. The first unit arrived on scene and quickly extinguish the fire. During the initial search, firefighters discovered that three cats had perished as a result of the fire. One dog was found alive and apparently escaped the blaze.
Investigators from the Fire Marshal's office are on scene to determine the cause of the suspected arson.
