$421M Powerball winner to be revealed Tuesday

We're about to find out who in Tennessee won the nearly $421 million Powerball jackpot.

The Tennessee Lottery has set a press conference for 10 a.m. Tuesday local time at lottery headquarters in Nashville. The lucky merchant who sold the ticket Saturday night also is expected.

The ticket, which cost $2, was sold in Lafayette, Tenn., northeast of Nashville near the Kentucky line.

It's the sixth time someone in the Volunteer State has won the Powerball jackpot, according to the lottery.

Among past winners is Knoxville's Roy Cockrum, who won $259 million -- before taxes -- in 2014. After taxes he still kept more than $100 million.

The Powerball is drawn on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The winning ticket's estimated cash value is $254.7 million.

It's the second largest overall prize awarded in the state.

The biggest - $528.8 million - was won by a Munford, Tenn., family in January 2016. They split a $1.58 billion jackpot with winners in two other states.

The winning numbers were 17, 19, 21, 37 and 44 with a Powerball of 16.
