Largo, Florida - Pam Gaylord is no stranger to the aches and pains of travel.

“Carrying luggage and brief cases has been bad on my neck,” Gaylord says.

After 15 years of business trips, she turns to the healing hands of a masseuse to get through the aches and pains. But when she went to the Art of Touch Massage & Bodywork in Largo, she says her relaxation came from the mat she laid on as much as the soothing hands of the Masseuse. It is called the Bio-Mat

“I didn’t know what was happening beforehand. It was like having a deep tissue massage without all the pain,” she said.

The Bio-Mat is like a high tech heating pad using light and amethyst crystals, rather than coils to generate heat.

“The Bio-Mat works using the far infrared light, it's not electromechanical, the reason they use amethyst is because it is a good conductor for far infrared light,” says Lynn Ellen Gaffin, co-owner of The Art of Touch.

The Bio-Mat is approved by the FDA as a powered heating pad.
