DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Florida is among the worst states when it comes to monitoring in-home child care centers.
That's according to a national study released by the National Association of Child Care Resource & Referral Agencies.
The association is pushing for all states to license and inspect homes that care for children not related to the owner.
But some local owners of child care homes say the extra level of scrutiny just isn't necessary.
