Tampa Am
Watch local skaters show off their stuff all weekend annual Tampa Am at the Skatepark of Tampa. It's in December instead of January this year and there will also be a live webcast. And on Sunday at 10 a.m., check out the Old Man Bowl Jam at the SPoT, because hey, old guys have skating skills, too!

St. Petersburg Boat Show and Strictly Sail
The Gulf Coast's new super show runs all weekend and is expected to attract about 25,000 people. This boating festival is the ultimate in one-stop shopping with best-value deals, free fishing clinics for kids, introduction to sailing workshops, Latitudes and Attitudes pizza-and-beer party and more. The St. Petersburg Boat Show and Strictly Sail will take place at the Progress Energy Center for the Arts Mahaffey Theater Yacht Basin and Albert Whitted Park, 400 First St. South, St. Petersburg; Friday & Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

First Friday

Finish off the work week with some music, a drink and a look at the local art scene. First Fridays bring in a young crowd to the bars and clubs around the central downtown block. The locals like to hang out at The Independent, Bishop Tavern, The Tamiami and other popular watering holes.

Marc Broussard
Native Louisianan Marc Broussard has long been an industry favorite, thanks to the kind of Smokey Robinson-ish voice and rough-and-tumble, blue-eyed looks that convince sorority girls to make room for him next to their Dave Matthews and John Mayer records. Now you can see Broussard at the State Theatre on December 5th at 7 p.m for $15-$17.He will be sharing the stage with the Alternate Routes.

Wild Wonderland
Get in the holiday spirit and visit Lowry Park Zoo after dark during the month of December. While there, guests can ride unlimited rides for free, go to Frosty's Foam Factory, see Santa, take a horse-drawn carriage ride, witness twinkling lights, real reindeer, beautiful holiday displays and more. Price is $13 for adults and $11 for children.

Jackson's Christmas Party

Celebrate Christmas early at Jackson's. The bistro halls will be decked with christmas decor and party goers can come dressed in their sexiest or most creative christmas outfits for a chance to win prizes. Two DJ's will spin all night long with Top 40 beats outside and 80's and 90's music inside. Proceeds from the event go to the Children's Home. $10 cover. 9 p.m.

Charlie Daniels Golf Classic & Charliepolooza
The 18th Annual Charlie Daniels Casino Golf Classic & Charliepolooza Concert will be held at the Seminole Hard Rock. Activities will include silent auctions, fundraising, poker tournament, golf outing, ladies luncheon, pairings party, private buffets, awards dinner and a sponsor reception. On December 6th, there will be a free concert in the back lot.Doors open at 10 a.m. and show is at 11 a.m.--featuring Bo Bice, Charlie Daniels, Confederate Railroad and Marshall Tucker Band.

Giochino Rossini's The Barber of Seville
The Count has found his match and needs help attaining her. This opera is sung in Italian, with English translations projected above the stage. The show happens at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m.

WMNF presents James McMurty with Ronny Elliott
A night of Americana music at Skipper's presented by WNMF. Price is $17/20 and the show starts at 8 p.m.

XFC Salute to our Armed Forces

XFC Extreme Fighting Championship comes to the St. Pete Times Forum with a special tribute to the Armed Forces at 8 pm. Price: $20-$50.

Pulse Magazine Launch Party

Floyd's Resident DJ's Kid Leow & Chris Craze spinning the latest Top 40 and Mash-Ups along with Tampa's sexiest go-go dancers. Ladies have no cover until midnight; $10 until 2 a.m.; $20 after 2 a.m. Guys have $15 cover until 2 a.m.; $20 after 2 a.m. 21 & up only. For VIP tables, call 813.627.7676.

The Misfits
Check out these rebellious rockers when they tear up the stage in St. Pete. The Misfits show starts at Jannus Landing at 7 p.m.

Naughty and Nice
Santa won't mind if you head out to Hyde Park Cafe for the Naughty and Nice Party starting at 9 p.m. DJ Gravity, Coz, Tony Faline and Machino will be mixing it up all night, door prizes and more. Oh, and don't forget your invite if you want access to the Three Olive Open Bar from 10 p.m. to Midnight.

Square One Creative hosts a multimedia fundraiser to benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation at the Ritz Ybor in Tampa. The event will feature live classical and jazz music; a rhythmic yoga routine; a performance by the UT Dancers choreographed to opera music; a runway show from two local designers; an art show with the work of over 85 local artists; and food from Stonewood, Mema's Alaskan Tacos, Spaghetti Warehouse and Streetcar Charlie's; 7 p.m. to Midnight.

The Chocolate Nutcracker
Life Force Cultural Arts Academy sets ballet, jazz, tap, tribal, break-dance and swing dance styles against jazz, funk, gospel and afro-cuban beats to create a multicultural twist on the classic Nutcracker ballet at the Mahaffey Theatre. Some of the scenes include Harlem, West Africa, Egypt, "The Rain Forest," "Jazz Land" and "The Land of Funk." This marks the Chocolate Nutcracker's 11th year in the community, and special guests performers include actor Mel Jackson of Soul Food and Living Single and Apollo-winners The Mime Boyz; 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Jobsite's Rockin' 10th Birthday Party
The Jobsite Theatre celebrates its 10th anniversary and hosts its annual fundraiser at New World Brewery with a night of surf lounge music from The Vodkanauts, alternative-rock tunes from Nessie and Poerty N' Lotion and the Jobby Awards ceremony, starting at 9 p.m.

AC/DC Pre-Show Party
Get ready for the real thing, with the next best at The Garage in St. Pete. The AC/DC Tribute band Highway to Hell and The Motley Crue Tribute band Carnival of Crue will play live, as well as "The Best Angus Contest" and an AC/DC ticket give-away, all kicking off at 8 p.m.

Don't miss 97X's annual music festival kicking off at the Ford Amphitheatre at 10 a.m. This year, the NBT live rock super-show features Radio Reset, 3 OH! 3, Framing Hanley, Saving Abel, Trace of Day, Claiborne, Ludo, Shiny Toy Guns, Anberlin, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Jack's Mannequin, Atreyu, Flobots, Shinedown, Flogging Molly and Avenged Sevenfold.
