North Port, Florida --  North Port Police say a 19-year-old man is under arrest for the murder of a popular Manatee County teacher.

Investigators say 61-year-old Kenneth Ellis was at home with his wife on the night of March 20 when someone rang the doorbell. Without saying a word, two masked men shot Ellis in the torso and took off, according to police.

Neighbors last saw the suspects driving away in a dark colored, four door sedan.

Ellis' murder left his North Port community stunned and devastated Manatee School for the Arts where he'd been a Tae Kwon Do instructor since the school opened in 1998.

In a Wednesday news conference, police said Katrelle D'Mario Johnson was indicted by a grand jury on a first-degree murder charge.
