New Port Richey, FL -- Nine students were unharmed in a school bus accident in New Port Richey Friday morning.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, around 7 a.m. the school bus and a 1997 Mercury Cougar collided at the intersection of County Road 77 (Rowan Road) and Plathe Road.

The report says 84-year-old Maria Giordano was heading north on Rowan Road in the inside lane and the school bus driver, 64-year-old Alfred Masse, was heading west on Plathe Road. Giordano started to turn left at the intersection to head south on Rowan Road when the two crash.

Due to a lack of witnesses and neither driver fessing up to having run the red light, no one was charged in the accident.

Giordano suffered minor injuries and was not taken to the hospital. Masse was not injured.
