Plant City, Florida -- Police say four people shot at an apartment complex may have been shot by just one gunman -- who is still on the loose.
Detectives say the four victims weren't shooting at each other; someone targeted them. And the culprit may be just one person, who is still on the run.
Plant City police say the loud, scary spray of gunfire came just after 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
Inside the gated Woodbridge at Walden Lake apartment complex, neighbors hid behind their apartment doors as bullets cut through the air.
Four people had been hit by bullets. Police describe them as having a range of injuries. Two of the victims were airlifted to the hospital, while the other two were taken by ambulance.
We haven't been told the victims' names, nor have we been given an update on their conditions.
Police say they're focused on tracking down whoever would go after these four people and put so many other people at risk.
According to detectives, these four people appear to have been specifically targeted and the public at large doesn't seem to be at risk.
