ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- A St. Petersburg man is dead after police say he crashed his scooter on 30th Ave. North Saturday afternoon.
Police say 27-year-old Gregory McGlamery was heading westbound on 30th Ave. N. and was driving erratically when he drove over a curb and struck a bus stop sign.
McGlamery was ejected from the scooter. He was taken to Bayfront Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say he was not wearing a helmet and alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash.
According to St. Petersburg Police, McGlamery's driver's license was suspended due to a pending DUI investigation.
