LAKELAND, Florida (AP) - Authorities say a 2-year-old boy who fell into a swimming pool during a birthday party at a Lakeland home over the weekend has died.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office reports that Landen Connell died Monday afternoon at a Tampa hospital. A medical examiner says the cause of death is drowning.
The Ledger reports that Landen was at a party with his parents Saturday. The family noticed him missing and found him in the pool 15 minutes later.
