Tampa, Florida -- A Hollywood movie with several scenes shot in Ybor City opens this weekend.
Magic Mike stars former Tampa resident Channing Tatum and was partly shot in the Bay area last fall.
Among the local spots Tampa residents may recognize include The Amphitheatre as well as scenes shot along Ybor City's Seventh Avenue.
"Magic Mike does a really good job of showcasing the Bay area" said Studio 10's Holley Sinn after getting a sneak peak at the film earlier this week.
She jokes the movie also does a good job showcasing "some of the lesser known areas of Channing Tatum."
In the movie Tatum plays a stripper.
The movie also stars Matthew McConaughey and is directed by Steven Soderbergh.
