Tampa, Florida -- A man looking to buy cell phones from a Craigslist seller got more than he bargained for when they met up.
Tampa Police say Azar Abdelhakim, 34, responded to an ad on Craigslist that was offering four iPhones for $650. Abdelhakim set up a meeting with the seller, later identified as Elijah Jackson, at a location on W Spruce Street on June 28.
When the two met up, police say Abdelhakim asked Jackson if he had the phones to which Jackson replied "no, but I have this" and pointed a gun at Abdelhakim, robbed him, and fled into the neighborhood.
Police were able to identify Jackson as the robber during their investigation and was arrested the next day after he was seen loitering in the same area. During a brief chase, he was caught in an apartment on Spruce Street.
Jackson, 23, is being charged with Armed Robbery, Burglary and Resisting Arrest without violence among other charges.
