    After several afternoons of widespread showers and storms, we will begin to transition to a drier pattern.  A strong ridge will remain in place across the region Wednesday through the weekend.  We will see mostly sunny skies, with just a slight chance of afternoon storms.  Daytime highs will run slightly above average with highs around 93 degrees.  Low temps will stay in the upper 70's.

Wednesday:  Isolated showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. Heat index values as high as 100. Light west southwest wind increasing to 5 to 12 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 20% (coastal) - 40% (inland)
