TAMPA, Florida (AP) - The American Civil Liberties Union will hold a forum on free speech and the Republican National Convention.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the University of Tampa's Reeves Theater in the Vaughn Center.
Representatives from the ACLU, along with officials from the city of Tampa, law professors and lawyers, will discuss the rights of citizens, demonstrators and journalists at the RNC, which will be held in downtown Tampa from Aug. 27 to 30.
Thousands of protesters are expected to demonstrate outside of the convention, where Mitt Romney will accept his party's nomination.
