Bradenton, Florida -- A Manatee County student was arrested Thursday after threatening remarks against his school were made on his Facebook page.
Holmes Beach Police Department officers arrested 15-year-old Noah Wash after a parent reported seeing the posts describing the threat in a Facebook conversation.
After speaking with Wash, detectives determined he did not have the actual means or intent to carry out the threat. He was charged with Threatening to Use a Destructive Device.
The Manatee County School District says they have removed Wash from Manatee High School and his future in the school system will be determined at a later date based on information obtained in the investigation.
The district is also enacting precautionary safety measures for Manatee High School.
