St. petersburg, Florida-- Police have tentatively identified the human skeleton remains found near Big Bayou Friday as that of 54-year-old Thomas S. Schafer.
Edna Stephens Home employees reported Schafer missing on January 24, 2012. He was staying at the facility and last seen by staff there at about 5 p.m. on January 23, reports say.
After police removed the remains, police discovered a wallet containing cash and Schafer's identification in the pocket of the shorts found on the body.
