Tampa, Florida -- As wind and rain from Isaac rolled into Tampa, parties rolled in too.

At the Florida Aquarium, crews broke down furniture and decorations from an event for Pennsylvania and South Dakota delegates. They then immediately started setting up plants and air conditioning units for a party hosted by the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States.

Groups started calling the Florida Aquarium almost two years ago to book events. And while Isaac didn't RSVP to any of them, the storm quickly became a big part of the discussion.

"There was a lot of talking, a lot of back and forth. Do we do it? Do we not do it? We actually did unfortunately have two events that canceled," says Jason Carroll, the aquarium's director of sales. "You got to keep on going. What else were we going to do?"

The same philosophy applies for the Tampa Bay Host Committee, with the exception of a couple social events scrapped Monday evening.

"Unfortunately, we are probably going to cancel them. We may take a little of some events and combine them with another event, but for the most part, we are not going to reschedule events in an already compressed week," says Host Committee President and CEO Ken Jones. "We're all going to be okay if we have one less party. Everything will be fine. We still have plenty of parties this week, plenty of time to celebrate and showcase Tampa Bay."

Lynyrd Skynyrd canceled its Sunday night concert due to the incoming weather, and it also impacted some events scheduled to take place indoors. Representatives from Facebook have confirmed to 10 News that the "Drinks and Apps" event scheduled to take place at the Glazer Children's Museum on Monday has been postponed until Thursday.
