The Tampa Bay Times reports Demers and a friend were found Saturday night running through orange groves on a private ranch. It borders a hotel where delegates from Texas and Louisiana are staying.
The men told deputies patrolling the area that they were hog hunting, but they didn't have permission to be on the property. No weapons were found.
Demers' friend was cited for trespassing.
