MIAMI (AP) - Schools and universities are reopening across South Florida and Tampa Bay after closing due to Tropical Storm Isaac.
Public schools in Miami-Dade, Broward, Pinellas, Hillsborough, Lee and other counties closed on Monday but plan to resume normal activities on Tuesday.
Florida International University, the University of Miami, and the University of South Florida in Tampa also will reopen.
Meanwhile, school districts in the Florida Panhandle plan to remain closed as the storm threatens the northern Gulf coast. Escambia, Bay and other public school districts will be closed.
