TRILBY, Florida -- The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Withlacooche River at Trilby.
Heavy rain from Tropical Storm Isaac has slowly worked its way through the headwaters of the river, the NWS said, and will bring the water levels at Trilby up past the flood stage late today.
The NWS asked residents to use caution and not drive cars through flooded areas.
Sand and sandbags are available at the Community Center in Ridge Manor.
The river will fall below flood stage by early Tuesday morning.
