Citrus Park, Florida - Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a child hit by a car in Citrus Park in northwest Hillsborough County.
Witnesses say a student from Sickles High School tried to cross four lanes of traffic near Citrus Point Drive and ran into the path of a car.
Hillsborough Fire Rescue transported the child, who was reportedly conscious when leaving the scene, to St. Joseph's Hospital.
Officials say they do not anticipate any charges for the 18-year-old driver.
