Winter Haven, Florida-- Police have arrested the man allegedly responsible for beating a man with a baseball bat during an argument early Tuesday night.
It was around 6 p.m. when police say 24-year-old Anthony L. Butler, and 26-year-old Timothy M. Heard began arguing at a home near 6th St. and Ave. B in Winter Haven.
Butler then reportedly grabbed a baseball bat and used it to strike Heard five to seven times, fracturing his right wrist and elbow.
Heard was transported to Lakeland Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
By the time officers arrived, Butler had left the scene and, and police were not successful in finding him until Wednesday.
Butler has been arrested on Aggravated Battery charges, and police say he will be booked at the Polk County Jail later this evening.
