Very little change is in the forecast the next couple days. A ridge over the southeast states has given us a ENE wind and brought back the heat and humidity to the Bay area. That system will slowly slip eastward into the Atlantic, but we will continue with an easterly flow through the weekend. That means more of the same for us with highs near 90 and rain chances at 30% each afternoon.
Rain chances will begin to rise Sunday as a cold front stalls just to our north. An area of low pressure may form in the Western Gulf Sunday. It could track east by Monday bringing more rain to Tampa Bay early next week. Highs will remain in the upper 80s through the period.
Today: Partly sunny, warm & humid with a 30% chance of afternoon storms. Winds NE 10 mph with a high of 89.
Tonight: Partly cloudy and mild. Light winds and lows in the lower 70s.
Marine Forecast: Winds E-N 10 kts, seas averaging 1-2' with a light chop on the Bay.
