Sarasota, Florida -- A Sarasota County jury has convicted a man on six counts of sexual battery on a child.
Detectives say in March 2011, Jeffry Hagen confessed to sexually abusing a 9-year-old girl for several months after the girl told police what was happening to her.
The State Attorney's Office says Hagen will receive a mandatory life sentence in prison without parole.
