Seffner, Florida -- A jury recommended the death penalty for the man they convicted last week of murdering a Seffner mother.
With an 11-1 vote, Kenneth Jackson could face the death penalty for the murder of 50-year-old Cu Thu Tran back in September 2007. Tran's body was found stabbed to death in a burning van 15 miles from her home where she had left to go jogging. It was last time she would be seen alive.
An investigation led police to Jackson as a suspect and DNA evidence linked him to DNA found on Tran.

The deliberation lasted about 90 minutes before the jury came back with their recommendation. The judge will formally sentence Jackson at a later date. His next hearing is scheduled for Dec. 12, 2012.
