A northerly flow will dominate most of this week meaning cool and dry air will be the rule in Tampa this week. This has caused a low deck of clouds to form at the surface for many areas inland but they will break up into this afernoon. A low pressure system will linger off the Carolina coast through Thursday reinforcing that northerly flow. As a result, we will see plenty of sunshine and temperatures that will run slightly below the average of 77. Rain chance will be slim with skies generally on the mostly sunny side.
Today: Mostly cloudy skies north and east of Tampa with mostly sunny skies south and west of Tampa. The clouds will break up more this this afternoon. Winds will be N 10 mph with a few higher gusts along the coast. Highs will reach the low to mid 70s.
Tonight: Mainly clear and cool with lows in the low to mid 50s with some upper 40s on Hernando and Citrus counties. Winds will be N 5 mph.
