Sarasota, Florida - Twinkies, Ding Dongs, Ho Hos and Wonder Bread may remain American made.

A Sarasota investment firm called Hurst Capital, LLLP is one of the latest corporations who have filed a letter of intent with the US Bankruptcy Court to buy Hostess Brands Inc, according to Sarasota Patch.

Hostess, which has been in business for more than 80 years, filed a motion last week to close its doors, sell its assets and lay off 18,500 employees.

A Mexican company called Grupo Bimbo is also bidding for Hostess, according to national reports.
