Tampa, Florida -- For 19 years, the Cookson Hills Toy Run has made the holidays special for children in Tampa Bay. This year is no different!

This year, the event benefits the "forgotten" children of East Hillsborough County, special needs individuals, seniors, and veterans with no family.

The annual event kicks off Sunday, December 2 at Veteran's Memorial Park at 10:00 a.m. There is an auction from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and raffle tickets for prizes.

The 20-mile "country" ride leaves the park at 1:00 p.m. and the gift unwrapping ceremony takes place at 2:30 p.m. at Evans Park.
