Sun City Center, Florida -- A two-month investigation ended Friday with the arrest of a 64-year-old man for possessing numerous files of child porn.
Hillsborough County detectives with the Internet Predator Unit executed a search of John Charles Wingo's condo in a gated adult community on Cambridge Trail Friday afternoon. They seized a computer, several CD/DVDs, mini video cassettes, SanDisks and thumb drives.
After an initial examination of their contents, detectives found several files of children approximately 1 year to 13 years old engaged in sexual activities.
Wingo was arrested and charged with 100 counts of possession of child pornography. Additional charges may be added after a complete forensic review of the computer and computer equipment.
