Seffner, Florida -- The driver who suffered a medical episode and crashed a church bus into a concrete barrier on I-4 on Dec. 3 has passed away.

The Florida Highway Patrol says Martin Silas, Jr. died on Dec. 7 from complications that arose from his medical conditions and the crash that occurred as a result. 

He was 78 years old.
