After waking up to sub-freezing temperatures for many folks on Sunday morning, a warming trend will begin by Sunday afternoon. As winds begin to veer to the northeast and eventually east, the cold Canadian airmass that descended on the Sunshine State will begin to moderate. Highs on Sunday will peak in the mid to upper 60's..with a few southern locations reaching 70 degrees.
Warm and quiet weather will continue for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with partly cloudy skies. Another cold front begins to push south across the area on Wednesday, bringing with it a 30% chance of showers. Temperatures will once again dip on Thursday with highs back down into the 60's.
