Largo, Florida-- Pinellas County deputies have arrested a teenager who they say shot a woman in the neck.
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office says 19-year-old Trevon Griffin was attempting to rob the victim, Brieonne Roiland, at gunpoint when he allegedly shot her. She is currently recovering from her wound at a local hospital.
Deputies arrested Griffin as he was running through a field a short distance from the crime scene.
He was taken to the Pinellas County jail, charged with attempted first degree murder, attempted armed robbery, discharging a firearm in public, resisting arrest without violence, and possession of marijuana.
