Haines City, Florida -- Two people were arrested for robbing a pharmacy -- one of which was an employee.
Haines City Police say on Feb. 24, at approximately 10:38 p.m., the First Choice Pharmacy in Haines City was robbed at gunpoint. At the time of the robbery, only one employee, Lori Cuellar-Castillo, Pharmacy Tech, was on duty.
Castillo told detectives that an unknown person wearing a mask and armed a handgun entered the store and stole approximately $31,000 worth of prescription medications and about $1,200 in cash.
An investigation revealed that Castillo and the gunman, Reuben Eugene Wright, were working together to commit the robbery and Castillo was to act as if she was a victim in the robbery.
Castillo, 29, was arrested on Feb. 26 and charged with grand theft and filing a false police report.
Wright, 21, was arrested on Feb. 27 and charged with grand theft, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and tampering with evidence.
Castillo had since bonded out, while Wright is still in jail.
