Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers agreed to terms on a
five-year contract with two-time Pro Bowl safety Dashon Goldson on Wednesday.
Goldson is coming off an All-Pro season with the San Francisco 49ers, who he
had spent his first six seasons with after the team drafted him in the fourth
round of the 2007 draft.
A Pro Bowl selection in 2011 and 2012, Goldson was a key ingredient to the
Niners' pass defense which ranked in the top five this past season. In 2012,
the 28-year-old registered 69 tackles, 11 passes defensed and three
interceptions.
Over the course of his career, the California native has started 64 of the 81
games he has appeared in, recording 443 tackles, three sacks, 14 interceptions
and 35 passes defensed.
