Sarasota, Florida -- The Sarasota Sheriff's Office and Sarasota Fire Department responded to the report of an injured person on March 17.

Upon arrival a male subject was discovered deceased near the driveway.

The preliminary investigation indicates the subject died as a result of being struck by a vehicle. The Sheriff's Office and Florida Highway Patrol are currently conducting the investigation. A suspect is in custody and the vehicle has also been located.
