Drugs, guns and cash seized from family home in Hernando

Spring Hill, Florida -- Hernando Sheriff's Vice and Narcotics detectives arrested two people Tuesday after a search of their home lead to the seizure of drugs, guns and cash.

On March 15, detectives seized the following items from a home in the 4300 block of Chandler Avenue:

  • $5,680 in U.S. cash
  • 132.33 grams (4.7 ounces) of Crack Cocaine
  • 79.7 grams of Marijuana
  • 3 tablets of Carisoprodol
  • Stolen 9mm semi-automatic handgun
  • .38 caliber 2-shot derringer
  • Surveillance system
  • Numerous items of paraphernalia, including pots and whisks used for making Crack Cocaine
  • 2006 Dodge Magnum

Authorities say the 9mm handgun had been stolen during a burglary back in 2011.

Two children living in the home were taken into Department of Children and Families (DCF) custody.

Steven Delaine, Jr., 36, and Sharena Brown, 27, were arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of structure for manufacturing with minor children present along with other charges. 

Delaine is being held without bond due to being arrested while being out on bond for another drug trafficking cocaine charge.
